Thoughts

I started working with Greg full time back in 2015. He was an essential part of my work life and supported me in so many ways, not just in my work life but in my personal life too. He was always so kind, thoughtful and caring. I was so looking forward to him coming back to work. He will be missed so much and work will never be the same again. Love to all his family x

I worked with Greg in the Luton Education Service. He was always cheerful and willing to have a chat. We shared lots of conversations regarding my work and he always had a joke to two to make me laugh. He was a very kind, gentle and funny man who will be greatly missed.

Losing Greg is such a massive blow for all of us in the Luton Education Service. He was an absolutely essential, constant and reliable member of the team. Greg knew everything, and if he didn’t he would find it out. ‘Ask Greg’ was a phrase which pre-dated ‘Google it’ and was much more reliable. Personally, I will miss Greg enormously. He was such a deep well of knowledge and gossip, although his high levels of professionalism meant he only occasionally shared the latter with me! He created such a positive and fun environment in the office - I’m sure he was the secret Santa behind my ‘swear box’ (and he told me it took fivers!). We had such great plans for his return, to develop and utilise his great skills, he has left a massive hole in our organisation. I’m going to miss his hard work, total commitment to Luton schools and children, and unwavering support for our department. Most of all I’ll miss his sense of humour, kindness and care for everyone else. Thinking of all of his family at this sad time.
